At THIS IS HOLLAND, you do not simply see the Netherlands; you experience it. In approximately one hour, you will journey through our country’s past, present and most beautiful landscapes.
The Experience consists of four stages, gradually building towards the highlight: a spectacular flight over the Netherlands. Feel the wind, smell the tulips and marvel at the views as you soar over iconic locations, coastlines, windmills, dykes and nature reserves.
1. The Netherlands of the past
Your journey begins in the Netherlands of the past. Discover how our country came into being and how the Dutch have worked with water and wind for centuries. From dwelling mounds and windmills to impressive water-management projects such as the Delta Works and the Woudagemaal pumping station.
2. The Netherlands today
Next, you will enter the Netherlands of today. A special video projection introduces you to the locations you will encounter later during the Flight Experience. You will discover fascinating facts about the Dutch seasons, landscapes and iconic places. And before you take off, we will of course talk you through the safety instructions.
3. the ultimate
flight experience
This is the highlight of your visit. During the nine-minute flight, you will soar over the Netherlands from a bird’s-eye perspective. Your seat moves with the action, the wind blows through your hair, and scent and lighting effects make the flight feel even more lifelike.
From tulip fields and windmills to canals, coastlines and water-management structures, you will experience the Netherlands as though you were gliding above it yourself.
4. holland lounge
After the flight, you will arrive in the Holland Lounge. Here, you can relax and reflect on your experience, read more about the sights you have flown over and take a look behind the scenes.
Watch The Making Of, discover how the footage was created and use modern Pepper Ghost boxes to learn more about remarkable Dutch water-management structures such as the Woudagemaal pumping station.

How long does a visit last?
A visit lasts approximately one hour. The experience consists of four parts: two informative shows about Holland, the 9-minute flight, and the Holland Lounge.
Do I need to book a time slot?
It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended if you want to be sure of experiencing the attraction at a specific time. You can reserve a time slot when purchasing your ticket. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your chosen slot.
From what age can children participate in the flight?
For safety reasons, children under 4 years of age and shorter than 100 cm are not permitted to participate in the flight experience.
